About us

RMRD SA is an umbrella organisation for research and development in South Africa's red meat sector, working under the Red Meat Industry Forum. We fund and coordinate research at universities, agricultural colleges, and the Agricultural Research Council, so that scientific advances reach the farmers and producers who can put them to use.

Our work serves the pork, large stock, and small stock industries, helping them produce profitably and sustainably and stay globally competitive.
